In partnership with
During the summer break, Upward Bound & UBMS programs host a free six-week summer program designed to simulate a college-going experience. The summer program is hosted at the Hill College campus in Hillsboro. Hill College is a strong supporter of Venus, Keene, Rio Vista, and Alvarado communities and the ORS UB & UBMS Programs.
Over the six-week summer program, students will have the opportunity to take a variety of classes focusing on math, laboratory science, composition, literature, and foreign language. Also available will be a range of elective courses, from physical education to aerospace engineering. We will also offer an overnight dorm experience during the first week! Students will have the opportunity to experience campus life first hand in a safe and controlled environment.
We view the summer program as a valuable part of your student’s academic and personal development. We want to give students an opportunity to grow in responsibility, develop new interests, and acquire skills that will enable them for success.
We will have an informational meeting about the summer program on April 30th, in which we will discuss more specifics and answer any questions that arise. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact any ORS staff member if you have any questions about the summer program.
Thank you for considering the ORS UB/UBMS Summer Program at Hill College as a part of your student’s summer!
