Upward Bound Math & Science is a federal grant program funded by the Department of Education designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students. The goal of the program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and to encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in math and science, and ultimately careers in the math and science professions.
The Upward Bound Program and Upward Bound Math & Science Program at ORS are each 100% federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education for $267,000 annually. All programs welcome and encourage participation by interested individuals regardless of race, national origin, gender, or disability.
Opportunity Resource Services mission is to alleviate rural poverty, increase educational attainment, and improve rates of upward mobility in rural Texas communities.
